The purpose of this site is to gather up and scan as many family photos so we can share them digitally online. This will give each of us a backup to our own photos, it will allow us to see photos we might rarely or never get to see otherwise, and it will give us a place to do something from home that we love to do when we get together: swap memories and stories of our loved ones and the irreplaceable shared moments of our lives.

Each photo will include whatever information that photo itself provides, but we can also supply additional information — names, dates, little stories — for our own photos and the photos of others. Every page has a “comments” feature for this purpose. 

So far there is just one set of photos scanned in: my mother’s album of  family weddings and miscellaneous family gatherings during the 50s. I will be scanning in other photo collections from the Beaver households over time. But I also want to scan and include the family photos that any of you in other households would like to share. 

We can discuss the details another time. Suffice to say I have a fast scanner that makes this scanning fairly quick, and I have built this website in a way that also makes adding more photo collections fairly simple.
